The first picture is techincally from Day 5... still Sheena's b-day... after the beer tasting and cherry blossom viewing in Fukuoka we hopped on a train in the afternoon and headed back to Kumamoto. Our last stop on this whirlwind tour of Kyushu.
Yep that's right Sheena... 2 and 5
Welcome to the-quarter-century club!
If you know anything about Japanese literature...
or have taught from the New Horizons JHS text...
you will know the name:
Soseki Natsume
This is one of his houses/now museum.
Kyushu is wicked famous for it's ramen...
and this one happens to be the best bowl
I have ever had.
Yes that's like half a pork loin in my soup.
And yes I just demolished it.
Well that's it for my pictures of Kyushu. I had an excellent time. I would highly recommend visiting the area if you are ever given the opportunity. Heck I really hope to go back someday. I wish I could have posted more while I was on my trip instead of bombarding you with all of it all at once but what can you expect from free wireless internet in hostels...
Next... pictures from my trip stolen from Sheena's camera and random videos. Tanoshiimi!

Thanks for posting, that was a lot to take in at one time but it was fun to follow your adventures.
Love,
Dad
That Ramen made me hungry! Yum! Thanks for posting some of your trip. My favorite picture is you and Sheena at the beer factory.
